Meet the Misty Acres Farm & Sanctuary Team
About Our Founder
Julie E. Clark, ESMHL
Founder, President
Since Misty Acres Farm was founded in 2015, Julie has worked tirelessly to build and maintain a sanctuary for rescued animals, as well as for all who visit. Over the years the farm has had many operations, visitors and residents. Through all that time, her purpose remained clear: rescue and retirement for the horses that need it most, and sharing the love of horses with the people that need it most.
Over the years, Julie remained focused on providing the best care possible to the rescues at the farm while she built her own Therapeutic Horsemanship program. That program has served hundreds of children and adults alike. From the Therapeutic Horsemanship program to Mindfulness with Horses programming, to Farm Tours, Day Camps and Educational Experiences, she has worked to bring horses, mindfulness and therapeutic horsemanship to a wider audience in North Georgia.
Misty Acres now is proud to partner with Kennesaw State University's Human Services program, offering interns the chance to study under Julie and learn from the program at Misty Acres. As of February 16, 2023, Misty Acres Farm & Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
